This newborn portrait session was SO special! A few years ago at one of my photography workshops in Waseca, Minnesota, a student (and now dear friend) gave me a ride to the airport.  She lives in Utah and I’m in Idaho so we are practically neighbors.  🙂  In that hour long car ride she told me about struggles with fertility and wanting a child so badly for so long. It was heartbreaking to hear how much she had been through already in the journey to have a baby.  I told her that WHEN the day came, and she got her precious little one, that I would be honored to photograph him/her.  And when I finally received the news that she was expecting, my heart burst into a million pieces and I couldn’t have been more happy!

In July, I traveled down to Utah to meet and photograph Kip, my friend’s miracle baby.  I used her photography studio in Hyrum Utah to set up everything I had brought from MY studio for the newborn session.  You know me, I love props and backdrops and wraps and blankets and outfits and floors, so needless to say my truck was FILLED beyond capacity.  🙂  It was awesome that the family got to watch and participate in the session from the comfort of their own studio.  Kip did beautifully, and we got WAY too many great shots of him!!!  He was so precious, and you can see in the family images, so wanted.  Congratulations friends!  Here is a little look at some of Kip’s newborn photos…
