This little cutie is Etta and she is turning the big ONE YEAR OLD!!!! She is such a happy little girl and was a joy to photograph. I love her sweet smiles especially when she scrunches up her nose. Here is a look at some of the fun we had during her one year portrait session and cake smash at my studio in Idaho Falls.

Etta had a great time with her cake, especially the strawberries!!! Yum!!!

Happy Birthday Payton! I can’t believe it’s already been a year since you were just a tiny little newborn. Here is a fun comparison….now and then….

Payton has grown up into the most adorable little girl. She is happy, curious, starting to get the cutest little curls in her hair and is a FAST crawler! She did amazing during her portrait session at my studio in Idaho Falls and we had WAY too much fun playing with outfits from my prop closet!

What is more rad than an 80’s inspired aerobics cake smash theme? Nothing! Payton’s mom found the coolest outfit and it was perfect for her cake smash…leg warmers and all!!!!! Payton had fun with that cake, eating it AND just playing in it. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone sweet is turning ONE!!!!! Sebastian was such a handsome little guy and SO much fun to work with. He is a happy, energetic, fun and smiley! He is also a fast mover, like lightning fast!!!! You can see is some of his image that he is ready to take off at any moment. We had a great time chasing him around the studio and he always had a laugh to share. It seems like yesterday that I met baby Olivia for her newborn portrait session. She was so cooperative, cute and calm and had the sweetest button nose and kissable cheeks. She has grown so much over the last year, so be prepared for a cuteness overload!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, outgoing Olivia is so much fun and always has a smile on her face!!!! She can come hang out with me anytime! Her mama loves all colors, but especially purple, lavender, orchid, light pink, pink and turquoise. A girl after my own heart!!!!! I LOVE all the shades in the purple-pink family, and their complimentary colors, and get SO excited to use them in the creative process. Miss Olivia looks beautiful in these colors and is turning one year old!!!! She came to the studio for some birthday pictures and a yummy messy cake smash!!!!! I’ll let Olivia’s sweet expressions tell her story….enjoy a little look at the birthday girl!

Someone sweet is turning ONE!!!!!!!! This little beauty is reaching an awesome milestone and celebrating her 1st birthday!!!! Ava has an awesome personality, it takes her a few minutes to warm up to the new environment, then her smiles come out, and eventually she’s crawling IN to the shooting space instead of away! It’s so funny! Working with Ava is such a joy and I can’t wait to meet her baby brother this October! Enjoy a little look from Ava’s one year session and cake smash. Smash that cake girl!!!!!!!!!! Ava did not hesitate to take her first bite of birthday cake, or her 2nd or 3rd and so on. After some good mouthfuls of cake and frosting she decided making a mess was next on the to-do list. She had fun ripping the cake apart, offering to share with mom, dad and me, throwing it around and using the mess to ‘paint’ some Ava artwork onto the floor. What a doll, she was an awesome destroyer of cake! In my studio…the messier the better!

This handsome little man is turning ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!! He is so sweet and adorable and has the most magical smile and fun facial expressions. 🙂 I absolutely loved working with him! Happy Birthday J!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

J’s mom has always LOVED soccer! She is super good at the sport, attended the World Cup in Brazil to cheer on her favorite teams, and is a high school soccer coach too!!!! So I just had to surprise her with a cute outfit I found and my super fun soccer backdrop/floor!

J really enjoyed smashing his birthday cake! He had a few bites but his favorite thing to do was smash it, throw cake around, and offer to share it with his mom and I. What a sweet boy!

Rowan is ONE YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, this year has really gone by fast. It feels like just yesterday that this sweet girl was a tiny little newborn.

And now she is 12 months old and can crawl, stand up to things, and took some of her first steps alone in the studio!!!!!!! What a beautiful girl. Happy birthday Rowan, you are the sweetest and have awesome smiles and facial expressions!

Someone sweet came to my studio to celebrate and document her 1st birthday!!!!!!!!! Romee! I can’t believe it’s been a year since I first met her as an adorable little newborn, who gave us a precious sleepy smile:

Idaho Falls, ID Newborn Child Photographer | PERFECTLY POLKA DOT BACKDROPS

I am so grateful that Intuition Backgrounds invited me to create a collection of backdrops. I knew immediately that I wanted polka dot backdrops in my most used and requested colors!!!! And here they are…..introducing Perfectly Polka Dots:

These backdrops are SO MUCH FUN!!!! I have been searching for the perfect shade of pink, something that reminds me of fresh raspberries, and it’s finally here!!!! It photographs beautifully!

I love a tack sharp image with a dreamy, soft, blurry backdrop. Compared to the rest of the backdrops in my studio, I made this one a little more green and the color is simply divine!!!!!!!

This soft purple is a wonderful lavender color:

The denim dots are a MUST HAVE for every studio! Of course this beautiful blue is perfect for boys, but it is just as perfect for GIRLS!!!!! This is my most used and requested backdrop!

This backdrop is a soft bubblegum pink color. It’s not too warm and not too cool, just a pretty and precious shade of baby pink.

Another one of my most requested backdrops is Young Love. I’ve always thought is was the perfect shade of yellow.

The new yellow polka backdrop is a bit softer and more gender friendly (no hearts!), but still a beautiful shade of yellow!!!! Add a little saturation in post processing if you like to make the yellow polka dots as bright as you’d like!!!! This backdrop adds sunshine to any set, and works for all genders!!!!!! Looking for the perfect purple? Well here it is! Purple meets a touch of pink in this backdrop to create a beautiful shade of lavender.

Hello there, beautiful birthday girl!!!! This sweetheart holds a special place in my heart, and I feel so blessed to have been able to capture her and her fun, serious, happy and sometimes sassy personality. She has it all!!!!!! I loved working with her, and chasing her all over the studio. I had some brand new polka dot backdrops to photograph, so she helped me out tremendously by modeling with them. I’m calling her one year session “the perfect polka dot portrait session”! Ha Ha Ha Isn’t she a DOLL??????
