Meet Dillyn (left) and Ezri (right). These sweet miracle babies made their entrance into the world a bit early and were 1 month old when I got to meet them for their newborn portrait session. We had fun getting photos of them together and individually as well. It’s so fun to see these twins side by side and see their similarities and differences. These girls were a joy to work with and I am so glad we were able to capture this magical time in their lives. Enjoy a look at Dillyn and Ezri:

Meet Luke! This sweet baby boy was born premature, spent lots of time in the NICU AND went through several surgeries! He had a rough start in life but is such a strong, resilient, and tough little man. What a trooper! When Luke was well enough to finally come home he was nearly 4 months old, but we did a newborn session anyway and got some adorable newborn-looking sleepy images and lots of eye contact and alertness too. These images are so precious to Luke’s family, especially after all he went through to get to this day! My heart is so incredibly full to have had the opportunity to capture these precious memories. Enjoy a little look at Luke’s 3.88 month newborn session. 🙂 LOL
We worked really hard to get a cute bucket shot, and Luke enjoyed being awake and alert much more than sleeping. So this image ended up being a combination of 3 images and mom held Luke’s head and neck the entire time. Safety first!!!!Luke’s mini albums turned out so cute!!!! These are so fun to have around the house and friends and family can enjoy looking back at Luke anytime they want!

Have you ever tried using a digital background? I love that they can be so quick and easy as seen in this video tutorial. In this case, I’ve designed the images with my props, flowers, greenery, layers, bowls, furs, etc, and photographed it with my big beefy camera. All YOU have to do is insert your own newborn photo! (Examples below) Today the NEW Holiday Digital Backgrounds are available!!!!!!!! I love traditional Christmas colors like red and green, but I also like to use different, fun and unique color combinations to add variety to the holiday season portrait options.

Not long ago I had the pleasure of photographing sweet baby Axel. He was so small and SO adorable…
Now Axel is 7 months old, and I don’t know how it is possible, but he is even MORE adorable now!!!!! He is so happy and smiley, and he is sure loved by his 2 big sisters. These siblings were just awesome!!! The girls must pose for lots of pictures at home, as they are both naturals in front of the camera! What a pleasure to photograph these 3 beautiful children!

I cannot even begin to explain all the fun that I had at the two Perryville, Missouri Workshops at the Intuition Backgrounds Studio. First of all, it was fun to see how the backdrops are printed and shipped. It was fun to be able print a custom backdrop to use at the workshop. And it was awesome that we got to shop from Intuition’s prop stash and hundreds of Birdie Baby Boutique headbands. Our newborn workshop models were beautiful, all the students were able to take pictures and practice by my side, and…these girls were FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meet the girls from the 2nd Perryville, Missouri Workshop! We had SO MUCH FUN during the workshop at the Intuition Backgrounds Studio!!!!!!! Can’t you tell? These girls were just as awesome, fun, kind, talented and hilarious as group 1. SO many laughs, great models, lots of time to practice, and these girls soaked it all in! I love meeting the students, and through our time together, leave as friends. We keep in touch through our workshop Facebook group, to continue learning, helping and supporting each other.

Last weekend I had the amazing opportunity to teach a workshopin Port Huron, Michigan. The students were SOOO much fun! These ladies are not only colleagues in MI but friends, and truly supportive of one another. This image pretty much sums up these awesome photographers: We spent 1.5 days learning, growing, laughing, sharing, editing and of course, photographing lots of beautiful models.
